Katie offers 13 years of press + public relations experience to her clients.

 

She began her career at MS&L's Manhattan headquarters and worked at three of Philadelphia's largest PR agencies before launching her consultancy in 2009. Trained as a journalist, Katie has placed thousands of stories for her clients in print, broadcast and online media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report + ABC News. She has extensive experience working with media in the Greater Philadelphia region through personalized press pitching, events and press release campaigns.  Additional specialities include: structuring strategic partnerships; social media strategy + execution; events development + management; website development + writing; electronic newsletter writing + distribution; development + fundraising for nonprofits; crisis management; and marketing.

 

Clients have included the Arts + Business Council of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, The Philly POPS, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and its Tune Up Philly program, Chestnut Hill Business Association, Knit Wit boutiques, Philadelphia Futures, Graduate!Philadelphia, and more.

 

Philanthrophy is paramount to Katie's life.  She served as Co-Chairman (2015/2016) and Vice Chairman (2014/2015) of the Young Friends of The Academy of Music, a group of young professionals dedicated to supporting the nation's oldest, continuously operating theater located on the Avenue of the Arts in Philadelphia.  Under her leadership as Co-Chairman, the Committee doubled in size.  When she resided in Philadelphia, Katie served as a Committee Member of The Raven Society,  the young friends group of the Free Library of Philadelphia; was an inaugural member of the The Barnes Museum Contemporaries; and was an avid supporter of The Philadelphia Museum of Art.  As a resident of St. Louis, Katie is a member of the Saint Louis Art Museum and Missouri Botanical Garden.  Her passions extend beyond arts + culture.  Katie is studying to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with a speciality in prenatal and postnatal yoga.  She is a professional beach lover, a novice skier and skeet shooter, and an amateur bird watcher.

 

Katie is a native of the Greater Philadelphia area.  She was raised in Southern New Jersey and lived for many years in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Center City.  A graduate of Hofstra University on Long Island, she has lived in Manhattan, Boston and Madison, WI and currently resides in St. Louis with her husband, Ryan.
